Plan, organize and lead equipment sales related activities in order to ensure the achievement of sales and profitability targets. Develop engineered and customized solutions tailored to meet customer needs.
· Explore business opportunities by developing and implementing sales strategies in order to identify potential customers and expand customer base; thereafter monitor sales activities and performance are on track according to business plans and targets so as to achieve profitability for the company.
· Lead in sales presentations, negotiate contractual & commercial proposals with customers, review quotations/tenders and approve commercial terms in compliance with Levels of Authority and appropriate policies.
· Execute the entire selling process of identifying customers through sales leads, referrals, cold calls, etc., and creating demand and capturing orders by building relationships and formulating product solutions and specifications based on customers' needs so as to ensure the meeting of sales quota and contribution towards sales revenue.
· Prepare quotations and tenders, negotiate terms and check all commercial terms of offer and order of acceptance so as to ensure compliance with Levels of Authority and other relevant MIS policies.
· Develop and/or enhance product presentation materials and participate in sales meetings with customers to do sales pitch, assess and address customers' needs so as to provide feasible technical solutions and close sales deal in a professional manner.
· Participate in marketing research, planning and sales forecasting so as to ensure targeted market and potential customer bases are fully tapped in order to generate a steady stream of revenue to meet and maintain profitability level. This includes maintaining an up-to-date record of competitors' products, market activities, industry trends, customers' buying trends and sharing of best practices, etc during sales meetings/discussions, etc.
· Actively use the Customer Relationship Management (C4C) tool in monitoring, analysing and communicating monthly sales data in daily work to manage personal targets and contribute to product and service planning.
· Conduct periodic monitoring of accounts receivables and coordinate with Finance Dept to ensure timely invoicing and prompt collection of overdue debts.
· Maintain and enhance cooperation with key account customers and principals to further strengthen long-term working relationship.
· Organize sales training to enhance product knowledge and technical know-how so as to maximize sales performance and achieve overall customer satisfaction.
· Participate with a representative from Project and/or Service Department to ensure that handover of projects to customers are proper and complete so that all outstanding issues (if any) are fully resolved during the handover.
· To develop new solutions or improving existing solutions based on local customer requirements and market trends.
· To work closely with designers, manufacturing, regional product, services and project teams to facilitate effective solutions development and deployment.
· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to solution design and specifications.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues arise and improve design solutions based on feedback from customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
. Ensure that procedures and instructions in the QMS and EHS are adhered to and carried out in compliance with the specified requirements.
. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
· At least 3 years of experience in equipment sales or related field.
