Responsibilities
Monitor and provide advice on all tax matters relating to the Indonesian companies. This includes all tax planning, research and ensuring full compliance with both domestic taxes and international tax requirements. Jobholder is also responsible for ensuring timely filing of all tax returns.
Provide administrative support and advice to the Corporate Office for regulatory compliance in relation to corporate secretarial matters, including maintaining valid business and operational licenses, risk management, maintaining important legal documents. This may include being on the Board of any Indonesian company, if so required.
Responsible too for overseeing all commercial aspects of contract review from proposal stage to conclusion stage, by evaluating risks and opportunities of order to ensure that legal obligations, cost control, claims management, and risk control associated are driven towards protecting and benefiting the Company’s interests.
TAXATION
- Review and develop appropriate tax planning initiatives and recommendations to place the company in the most effective tax position. These recommendations should be made to the appropriate managers and departments, and upon approval, be responsible whenever possible, for the implementation and follow through of these recommendations.
- Direct the tax compliance activities as mandated by the Tax Authorities and be in active engagement with operating companies to ensure that all local tax regulations governing sales, purchases, imports and exports are in full and effective compliance.
- support to Finance team of operating companies in tax accounting, and details, when necessary, to close the books.
- Provide the Corporate Office tax accounting details and necessary information for Group Accounting Consolidation.
- Work with Group Director - Taxation and provide the necessary tax information to complete the various financial and / or corporate reporting.
- Work with Group Director – Corporate & Legal Affairs and provide the necessary corporate information to complete the various corporate reporting.
- Responsible for timely and accurate filing of monthly VAT, withholding taxes and any other taxes submission to the tax authorities.
- Handle tax dispute
- Responsible for timely and accurate annual CIT submission to the tax authorities.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of taxation payments to general ledger and maintain proper reconciliation statements as part of the Companies’ permanent records.
- Manage and coordinate all tax audits by tax auditors and resolve the tax issues in the most cost-effective manner. Determine which issues cannot be promptly resolved and seek the advice of Group Director - Taxation.
- Keep abreast of new tax laws, regulations and positions taken by the Tax Authorities, determine their effect on respective companies and advise management of any major impacts.
CORPORATE SECRETARIAL
- Responsible for the oversight and management of all Corporate secretarial matters. Maintain the Corporate secretarial minutes of meetings; coordinate the preparation of material for these meetings. Conducts annual meetings and track records of officers, directors, committee appointments. Advise Board on matters of indemnity and other general corporate governance matters.
- Maintains the respective Companies' secretarial records.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Companies operating licenses required by all Regulatory authorities for the company continuing operations are valid and up to date.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/tax or related major
- At least 4 years’ experience in taxation/accounting at finance and accounting consulting companies
- Has experience in people management
- Strong understanding of regional tax laws and regulations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, and final tax)
- have tax certification (Brevet A & B) preferred
- Proven track record of handling tax dispute (Tax audit & Tax Objection).
- familiar with TP doc preparation process
- Proficiency in data analysis, Microsoft Office, preparing financial reports, and dealing with Business taxes is necessary
- Have good analytical thinking, quality focus, and high accuracy
- Have a good communication skill both English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Experience in a tax consultant firm or public or public accounting firm or corporate tax is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of drafting tax litigation process such as response SPHP / SPUH
- Experience of preparing Tax Reconciliation
