Solar Sales Engineer

The Indoor Solar Sales Representative supports the growth of JJ-LAPP Vietnam’s Renewable Energy business by developing and qualifying sales opportunities for solar-related products such as Huawei inverters, LAPP solar cables, connectors, and PV accessories. This role is vital in engaging customers, supporting field sales, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Generating new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, emails, Zalo/LinkedIn/Facebook outreach, and timely follow-ups on marketing campaigns.
• Engaging with EPC contractors, M&E contractors, solar installers, and developers to understand their technical and commercial needs for solar projects.
• Consulting customers on the selection and application of solar products including:
• Huawei inverters (residential, C&I, utility scale)
• TÜV-certified solar cables (e.g., ÖLFLEX® SOLAR)
• DC connectors (e.g., MC4-type)
• PV accessories 
• Responding promptly to inbound inquiries and proactively resolving customer questions via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
• Building and maintaining a high-quality CRM database of leads, accounts, and project opportunities.
• Qualifying and nurturing leads before handing off to Outdoor Sales or Technical Support teams for closing or solution design.
• Researching and identifying new leads through project databases, tender portals, industry news, and digital platforms.
• Upselling and cross-selling relevant products such as additional cables, connectors, and accessories that enhance system performance.
• Supporting quotation preparation, documentation, and coordination for smooth order processing and customer service.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Solar/ Renewable Energy/ Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a business background with technical orientation.

• 1–3 years of experience in electrical equipment, panels, cables, or automation is an advantage.

• Strong consultative selling skills, communication, and negotiation abilities.
