Responsible for planning and managing the Department’s sales operations to achieve sales targets and revenue goals, while ensuring the expectations and needs of customers and principals are met. The role also encompasses sales, marketing, technical services, inventory management, operating expense control, and full P&L accountability
Responsibilities
- Identify and map new market opportunities, providing feedback on products, data, and applications.
- Drive execution of the Department’s business plan in line with regional and company strategies.
- Prepare annual sales and expense budgets; manage sales activities to achieve targets.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies based on country and RBU direction.
- Conduct market research to support new markets, product development, and industry trends.
- Monitor product performance and manage stock provisions.
- Coordinate with principals, including visits, sales reviews, reporting, and system updates (C4C/eNPC).
- Collaborate with principals/suppliers on technical and commercial matters, including pricing.
- Support Business Line Head and Regional Portfolio Manager in executing regional strategies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Processing / Engineering, Science or related studies or relevant experiences.
- Minimum 4 - 5 years of working experience in distribution business, preferably with some exposure in oil & gas, refineries, petrochemicals, electronics, batteries and other relevant industries.
- Good communication skills and able to work independently.
- Possess tact, integrity and enthusiasm.
- Demonstrate drive and initiative in achieving sales targets / goals.
- Highly energetic and self-motivated individual.
- Solid foundation in technology – computer skills and CRM experience a plus.
